well i did it !AGIAN! i eggs and placed them in the incubator TUNE IN

I've a lot of people say its best not to label the box as eggs. Just putting fragile on it seems to be better. Putting eggs on it seems to make the mailmen be rougher with the package. Thats just what I have heard and don't know for sure.

As far as a Saturday shipment. Unless it was possible for you to receive the eggs next day it doesn't hurt. All shipping trucks roll 7 days a week. Unless the delivery day falls on Sunday the package shouldn't be delayed at all. For example a priority mail package mailed on Saturday will usually still get delivered by Monday or Tuesday. Chicks or eggs will only set if they arrive at your post office on Sunday, any other time they are always in route to their destination.

Fragile hatching eggs is generally the requirement. Putting fragile and do not freeze is a good idea as well if you don't want to label them hatching eggs.

I've found that packages that are labeled Hatching Eggs arrive better than ones that just say Fragile on them.

The key is to pack them well. Lots of bubble wrap and styrofoam peanuts. Using an eggcarton helps a bit as well. Pack them tightly so that they can't be jostled around.

How much did those cost? I can never find emu hatching eggs anywhere!

I hope they hatch for you.

As someone who recently(within the past year) hatched emus, I'm gonna reccommend you start tapping them now so you can train your ear. In about 3 weeks you'll notice a difference from the air cell and the developing embryo. I used my finger instead of a metal dowel, worked fine for me.
Good luck, it's a long wait.

little update.
we are 3 weeks into it. and everything is going well. no eggplosions , no bad smells. our bator has been holding 96 and we are all very excited about this hatch. the only big news is we are purchasing a home and will be moving in before the eggs hatch. that will be a little challenge, and a cool house warming gift if it goes well .
