I just got my chicks tonight. My husband told me to research coops and he would get on it. I love your design!! I might make it taller since we are 6' and 6'5". I adore the design!! Great job. That coop looks like it will last a few generations.

Yea, I got issues with overkill. It came from my Dad, I don't know any other way.

It's not going to be on the ground it will be 12" - 18" off the ground. Not a walk in for sure.

Depending if you cover your run you may want it 24" off the ground to hang your feed and water under it. Keeps feed dry and offers them comfy standing shelter if 18".

Got to put in 2 more hours tonight. Total 8 hrs.

Got the back cut and nailed also made two of the roof trusts





more to come ... plan is to knock out the other 2 roof trusts tomorrow night the Friday a lumber run
