great job on saving the kitten, I should have remembered the Karo syrup use the dark stuff the doctor told DD to use that on my grand daughter when she had a hard time pooping. Glad to hear is all good from the vet.
Yep.. sounds like a good vet to me!
And yes, soaking the hard kibble in her formula is a good idea! Let it get all mushy and then put a tiny bit on her lips....see if she starts to lick it off... then if she does..see if she will lick it off your finger..... to get her started eating it..
OOH..and i would try to make sure its warm too... like her formula temp...
Is it ok if I make the first few go rounds really watery so that I can give her a bit of the soaked kibble with her formula in the syringe? That way it's not all of a sudden "bam!" Eat this!
She doesn't seem to have a licking reflex yet..only suckling. I'm hoping over the course of the next week she will start developing her other senses a bit.
I'm kind of leery about giving her so many different things at once. She was wormed today and now she's getting her two drops of medicine per day and will also be getting some kibble with her formula. Should I hold off a bit on the Karo syrup?
ETA: I REALLY like the name "Mira". My fiance and I are test-driving it. Kind of odd...my Shih Tzu's name is Vida! lol

If it was me, I would wait a few days before adding anything else. She has been through so much already. I think I would let the wormer work, give her the meds and get her pooping and then start a kibble slurry. If she was with her mom, she would only be nursing at this point.
