Went to Wal-Mart...and got Mira! Getting clipped!

It should take a while to "make some poo" as it hasn't had any food in a while. The oily cottonball is for stimulating the kitten to help it poo without chafing the hiney. It's plumbing should get going again in a couple days or so. When I stimulate them to pee I rub them just in front of the pee spot at the bottom of the tummy toward the rear. To get them to poop the mom licks the anus upward from the bottom of the hole up toward the base of the tail so I try to copy that motion.

Gosh Ropo, sounds like you can raise the dead.

Good job.

For a name think about Grizabella from Cats, the musical. She's the old pariah cat that comes back hoping for another chance and gets 9 more lives.
Course I'd end up shortening it to Grizie or something like that.

Sorry Ropo for the quintuple post. Feels like BYC is having issues again. And my PPM powers are not working well.

If she survives, I would name her Miracle

Being around Easter , and being called dead and found in a Wally World Warehouse , and you came along at the right moment to rescue her?? Total miracle

Fun questions:

I'm waking up every 2 hours to feed. The baby does not seem impressed by this routine. Should I stop waking it up to eat and let it wake up hungry?

My Shih Tzu sea very interested in the baby. She's walking around it, excited then wary of it. Then she curls up close to it but when the baby gets close to her she jumps out of her skin. She's let it crawl up under her and she seems to want to lick but she also seems to want to play. I watch the interaction very closely. Will she calm down with it or is she trying to mother it? The poodle I can tell has the look of "food" in his eye...he won't be allowed near it.

Thanks for the help!

A few years ago I rescued 3 kittens from a feral mom. About the same age as your baby. I fed them 4 times a day.
first thing when I awoke, about 3:30am
Break at work, about 9:00am
After work, about 3:00pm and just before bed, about 8:00pm
Filled them up, big round bellies. lol

I kept them next to the bed for a couple weeks so I could hear them, at night. Then I blocked off the end of the kitchen for them to run around.

I read the 2 hour thing. OMG, wasn't going to happen here.
