We're all hatchin'! Congrats, everyone!

I know, I figured they are probably already getting all set up the way they are... it's just so nerve racking!!! This is reminding me of my last few weeks of being pregnant, aahhh!!!

I would think that having them in the egg carton would minimize the obvious movements, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Mine are just on the wire bottom, but I know a lot of people have good luck with the carton method. You're just going to have to go with your gut as to whether to take them out or not.

We have a pip!!!

Our first obvious pip!!! This is one of the eggs we haven't seen much or any movement from, so it's funny that it's the first to pip.

I have so many things I should be doing and now I'm going to spend the day within sight and sound of the bator waiting on these chicks to make their appearance.

I'd leave them - they'll be fine. I know the waiting it hard sometimes. I still have 4 eggs to go and hear no peeping, but I know I have to be patient 'cause, as my mom says, "When the apple is ripe, it will fall."

I know, I know.... It's just tough, cause it's my first ever hatch, and I'm just worried I screwed something up since everyone else is having progress, and I am not..... I guess patience it is!!!

This is my first ever hatch, too, and I'm worried to death about the remaining eggs. However, I'm just keeping positive thoughts that they WILL hatch, though it may be a day or two. Hang in there!

And to think, I get to go through this AGAIN in a couple days, when my Coturnix eggs are due to hatch

I incubated mine in the egg cartons, but on day 17 I took them out and put them on their sides. I candled the crap out of all of my eggs, and I know that every single one of them had a chick inside. Now that it's hatch day, I'm so freaked out!!! With having to open the bator so many times to get the temps right and blah blah blah, I'm so relieved to see a pip in one!!! I think I wasn't hearing the cheeps because of how loud my setup is. Don't worry, Lux....it'll all work out! I was just as nervous, and this morning I jumped out of bed and didn't see anything, it wasn't until closer inspection that I actually saw the pip. They're harder to see than I though!!!

Good luck, and keep us posted!!! None of us are in the clear until the chick is zipped!!!!

It's like watching grass grow, only nerve wracking in the worst way!!!! TWO PIPS!!! I totally didn't notice the second pip, and I might have more that are pipped on the side of the egg that's against the tray....I don't know....Look closely, Lux....I looked closely and didn't see them, it wasn't till I did a second take that I saw them!!! 2 pipped, 11 to go!!!

I now have 3 pips.

The one I think actually pipped during the night is the farthest along. The two I know pipped this morning have just pipped enough to be noticeable and haven't yet gone any further.

It's hard, Lux, no doubt about it, but try to be patient. Just because some of ours have started and yours haven't doesn't mean they won't.

Good hatching vibes coming your way and everybody else's.
