I just cracked egg open to cook it and there’s something weird inside of it. Can anybody tell me what it is? 😲 should I toss the egg?

Not sure I'd eat it.
Should dissect a bit further.
Is the blob in between the membrane and shell?
Is there any thickness to it or is it just discolored?
What does the outside of the shell look like in that area?

Yes it was between the membrane and the shell. There was nothing obvious on the outside of the egg! It's thick like something is in it.

Probably just a glitch in the egg making process.
I wouldn't worry unless you see it again.
Usually in with the albumen, but could be called a meat spot.

Meat spots are from a tiny piece of tissue breaking loose from the reproductive tract.

I think it's explained in this excellent video, which is worth watching regardless:

Thank you so much!
