Yeah it helps dry up the discharge from the irritation. Try gargling with warm salt water. Thanks, I know what that is, but I don't have phlegm. It's all just irritation (or something).
Aw...sorry...that's harsh! When I was growing up and we kids got what we call "The Croop" here in the south (basically it sounds like you are trying to cough up a lung) and it's usually accompanied by a sore throat. My parents would give us 2 Tablespoons of moonshine with soft peppermint melted in it! It always helped. So, maybe remake that tea and add some lemon, honey and a good shot of whiskey to it? I hope you feel better!!!I've got the dreaded lurgy.
I can't stop coughing. Thought I'd make a cup of tea to see whether that might settle it down. Put it down and it did a swan dive off the table all over everywhere.
The chickens can't help with this one.![]()
We should all thank our girls even when they aren't giving us eggs yet! I just love them...they are good company!I find that thanking my chickens each day when I collect eggs has been a real lesson in gratitude.
LOL...we find a bat or two hanging around...literally...LOL! We walked into what we call the glass room and there were to tiny little bats hanging from the ceiling. They were about two inches long...cute little things! We just opened the french doors and they eventually left on their own. Emma looks like a Spriger Spaniel I had yeas and years ago!! Very sweet dogs! Since we are sharing pictures of our babies here is our boy Tomo:Here is a pic of my hunting dog Emma, she's a Brittney Spaniel. My wife bought her as a surprise present for my when I got back from Afghanistan. That's my cat MeMe. If sit down she's on my lap. Next spring we plan to get some goats. I need to put the fencing up. Here's a bat I found in my wood burner when I went to clean it out for the winter. I just let it go outside. I wouldn't know how to keep a pet bat.

What beautiful babies!!! I love German Shepards!!View attachment 1149709 This is my poor Papillon, Charlie. I accidentally ran him over with the Mule! He snores now and gets a runny nose a lot but seems ok otherwise. I nearly had him euthanized, he is 14 and i didn't want him to suffer. View attachment 1149712 This is Mini, our German Shepherd, waiting for me to throw the stick... all day long!
I was bitten by a Shepherd when i was a kid. Had to have stitches. Very scary. But husband had a Shepherd when we met. Bought another when we lived in TN, and got this girl before we left FL. What a great dog! All potty trained, crate trained, leash and show trained when we got her. She is good with the cats and small dogs, though a bit nosy and in their faces. Also good with the chicks, chickens and guineas, as well as wild life. She started to chase a deer , i told her no and she came right back. Her bark is intimidating, and when her hackles are up no one would consider messing with her. But she really is a soft baby. Perfect! What beautiful babies!!! I love German Shepards!!
