I'm so glad to hear that, I wonder if an antibiotic would be a good idea, adding some to his water? He's acting a bit better.
He never lost his appetite. He's still eating like a pig and I've been giving lots of extra treats.![]()

I'm not sure, but I don't think so... I'm guessing that he'll lose everything that's purple. All I can do is keep trying and hope for the best.

What antibiotic would you recommend? I've been soaking his feet in Tricide Neo to help prevent infection.
Only thing in Storey's book Dave H says not to rub affected parts about the only way you could neo on would be to rub.Is that gangrene secondary to the frostbite? I'm so sorry.Great job on the sling tho.![]()
I had found 2 links the other day, let me try to locate them.
Here's one:
http://ocw.tufts.edu/Content/60/lecturenotes/797662
And the other:

Neosporin then Aloe Vera
Now I am wondering if getting some Veterycin spray{TSC} would be a good thing to use since it only needs to be sprayed and you don't have to touch the foot at all. Thanks for the advice everyone!![]()
Today the outer portion of his right foot came off exposing everything underneath. It's all dead. I held his foot up to the light and I don't see any blood veins. The muscle is discolored and I don't think he has any feeling left in his toes.
His left foot is purple, but it's still holding together ok.
