what are y'all saving from the wild to deal with coming crisis?

I loved my turbo charged Corvair Spider.... Even learned how to change the serpentine fan belt.... Oil.... well you just put enough in till it dripped.... The oil pan was huge and made of sheet metal... What were they thinking.

Right now I have a 97 Dodge Cummins one tone.... Big block six.... its got three hundred thousand miles on it.... still gets twenty a gallon.... Six cylendar gets 20 miles per gallon.

And can run off of French fry or peanut oil with just a couple of tweaks.

I reread the title of the thread and I quote:

I have sold my collection, I agree with those that are saving but I have a personal belief that it impossible to save enough. The crisis that I think will happen is going to be worse and last longer than I can imagine. I think that I will deal with the problems one at a time as well as one day at a time, similar to the way my wife and I walked from North Georgia to North Maine over a seven month journey and the terrible experience of caring for my Dad during his six month battle with cancer.

You did what?

You backpacked it/pounded the pavement for seven straight months?
Camping out or hoteling it?

I got tired of the politics and religion so I skipped from page 21 to now.
My chickens free range mostly now anyway. Trying to start canning. Also I've seen my chickens pick a deer carcass clean in the winter.

Have ya'll with streams or running water heard of the ram water pump. No electricity. Basically 2 check valves, a couple of tees and a 90. It can push water 7 times farther up than it is run down. And if your tank is elevated it can fill all night and have pressure later.

You have to have decent elevation difference for a ram pump to work. OK's pretty flat, isn't it?
