What are you canning now?

No, you didn't say that, I think maybe she misunderstood what you wrote. I read it as you should can the pie filling with everything you want in it EXCEPT the thickener, then when you are ready to make the pie, you can add the cornstarch before you put the filling in the shell. I think that's what you meant, right?

Yes thank you. I thought maybe I wasn't making myself clear, sometimes it is hard for me to put things in words. (I am a big hand talker lol)

I made that cranberry sauce with grand marinier and fully substituting the water is NOT correct!! Hopefully you didn't try that recipe yet!!

I made it and did 2 bags cranberries, 2C sugar, 1C. Grand marinier, 1C. water and then I added in another 1/2-1 cup water while it was cooking down(It was looking too thick, probably because the alcohol burned off.). It smelled very alcoholy at first too but it cooks out. They were delicious! Best cranberries I've ever had. Popped a jar of some I made a few months ago using just orange juice and they wern't very good after having the other ones so recently.

This week so far has been 6 pints turkey broth, 16 half pints and 4 pints grapefruit and the sauerkraut should be just about ready for decrocking and canning.

The dehydrators have been going non stop as well............

No, I didn't do that one. I did make my own version - put 1/4 cup OJ in with a cup of water and a bag of cranberries. Cooked until done, removed from heat and added about a tsp grand marinier - stirred and let cool. It was a huge hit! Next time I might add a bit more OJ in place of the water and a tad more grand marinier.
