What are you canning now?

This sound good, I copied the recipe. Do you just chop the apples and tomatoes into bite size pieces?

Oh yes, just chop them up. I use this like a condiment on sandwiches

Pear butter simmering in the crockpot right now. It smells so yummy with the cinnamon and cloves. I still have a bunch of pears left, so I might do the pear honey this afternoon.

Made salsa last night - gotta get it simmering so I can can it.

I still have peaches from my trees, so I'm going to make a peach cobbler and maybe some more peach melba jam.

Last year I made green tomato relish. It was really good, I use it in potato salad and macaroni just like you would pickle relish. I haven't bought store made relish in a year. Great in egg salad and deviled eggs too.

My grandmother use to make green tomato relish - - ALL THE TIME!
We NEVER had dill relish in the house... sweet green tomato relish ruled when I was growing up.

To think there are folks out there who have never had this

Lefsa (I am sure I didn't spell that right either)... there is another treat I grew up eating.
My grandmother would make it and offer it to us when we came to visit. She would spread butter and sprinkle brown sugar on it. Then we would roll it up and eat it!

27 pints of apple butter! I love it, and the kids eat it like crazy!
I also saw someone make reference to caramel apple jam? Would you please share the recipe...it sounds very good!
