Mine are for pets but I tell my family i only want my chickens for eggs ;) shhh!

I love birds, I really do. Specially the kind that can live outside year round. That's what I tell people. More useful, economical, and less mess than a parrot.

I have silkies for pets and show birds, a barnyard mix of layer hens, and am also working on small flocks of Australorps and Ameraucana's.

I love my chickens for their personalities, the eggs they produce, and to develop and grow silkies! The silkies are so sweet!
