Oh interesting! I did go to their FB page and am uploading some screenshots. They are in SE Queenland, Australia and haven’t posted on a few months so I hope they are ok. They post about a lot of colors I’ve never heard of. In addition to Ivory, which seems a lot like Cassiadawn’s keet, they breed Chocolate, Peach, Cinnamon, amd Periwinkle! Periwinkle seems to be a project they are really interested in, and seems like some kind of albino or amelanistic combination of genes.Reading description here, I'd think ivory but he doesn't show pic of keet. http://www.guineafarm.com/product/ivory-keet/
I'm not on facebook, if you are, look at Chi Chi Guinea as they advertise ivory, may have more pics.
There isn't enough valid guinea color genetics research to truly know what anything is. The claim that I have seen is that Chocolate is buff genes with 2 copies of DSV. Buff is said to be sex linked meaning that a hen can display the color with only one gene present but buff is not a dominant color gene and can react differently in different situations. If other color genes are present at the same time, you get different results. It looks like "ivory" is supposed to be a combo of chocolate and blue. But chocolate is also supposed to be sex linked, correct? I only have a trio of phenotypically pearl adult guineas. So to have chocolate visible, wouldn't my hens HAVE to show chocolate?
It appears that it is going to be a non-dotted adult of a light color. I would have said white but white don't have a different color on top of the head. My guess is that it has a blue color gene and two no dotting genes. There is nothing like it in the Helmeted Guinea Fowl Color Chart. What color is this keet? Parents are both regular pearls.
No. Blonde is a partially pealred color (squiggly lines on head with white chest and wings) and this Keet will be fully pearled (straight lines on head).
Wow, very cool little keet! Congratulations! What color is this keet? Parents are both regular pearls.
