What did this to Milk? *GRAPHIC PHOTOS*

I had a mink problem this fall...evidenced by the capture of three of the little devils. Most of the 50+ birds that were killed had the heads completely ripped off but some were like this.

I would say mink, possibly weasel (basically the same but smaller).

Mink are notoriously hard to catch, they are very picky about what bait they'll take. I've heard that minnows or other type of fresh fish work well. I caught one using hamburger as bait and one using a carcass that was left behind from a previous attack the night before. (The other one was cornered in an old silo by our dog.)

If it was a mink, he'll be back for more. I would get some traps out.

Thanks Everyone.

Luna, your post made me smile. I remember when I didnt put the , where it was needed and everyone thought I was trying to milk a muscovy.

Goodness J what a month you had. I am so sorry about this. Not everyone has scovies but they are like dogs always happy to see you with tails wagging up a storm. If you are lucky they talk to you with head bobs and queeks.

It is hard for me to belive a cat could get a full grown scovy drake. Some thing big had to take down 15 lbs of drake and claws. One of mine when just vanished still cant belive he is not around.

Let me know if you want eggs to hatch. Big hugs to you.
