I'll ride it out another week, see what thrives and fails and then start over. At least it's still early in the season.@BReeder! it's dampening off, fungal disease. Dump the dirt clean the trays and start over. UGH. sorry.

Is the yard fenced in? We have 6ft privacy fencing, so it's difficult to see much of what's in the backyard. A 7ft or 8ft hoop wouldn't be much to see. A 6ft hoop is impossible to see unless your looking over the fence. My neighbors directly adjacent would be able to see from their houses, but they are all nice people who I get along with.Sister just asked permission from the city to hoop one of her 8x20 beds. Her house, back yard.
They said no, it would be an eyesore.
WTF. Her grocery store a block away is bare bones empty. She's just trying to provide food security for her kids and prolong the season.
UN FRIGGEN REAL.
I’m misting them from the top. The soil is Jiffy Natural & Organic Seed Starting MixHow are you watering them? Roots follow the water.
What's your starter 'soil'?
NO HOA. 6 foot privacy fence and neighbors have no problem with any of it.Is the yard fenced in? We have 6ft privacy fencing, so it's difficult to see much of what's in the backyard. Also, I do and ask permission later for the most part. A hoop is a temporary structure, for which the rules or typically very different. I also do not have an HOA, but we have township ordinances still. "Eyesore" is one of those ordinances that is very grey and open to interpretation by whoever is in power at the time unfortunately.
HUH. Odd.I’m misting them from the top. The soil is Jiffy Natural & Organic Seed Starting Mix
That would be so frustrating, you have to wonder what they are thinking. She says that the city said she can't have any less green space in her backyard. UM. gardens ARE greenspace and the hoop doesn't stop that. This town she's in, I swear.
Jerks. Is her backyard exposed? Can she hoop it a little lower so it’s not noticeable?Sister just asked permission from the city to hoop one of her 8x20 beds. Her house, back yard.

I dunno, I usually see the roots spread out some too.So I repotted some of my seeded starts last night. What I’m finding is that the starts are sending their tap roots straight down and out the bottom of the 6 packs and 4 packs I’m reusing to start my seeds in.
Do most of you start seeds in things with no holes in the bottom? I thought they would grow and put out more roots in the container before I needed to repot them.At this rate im going to run out of space very quickly !
