What did you do in the garden today?

Good morning gardeners. The wind was wicked bad yesterday with long gusts up to 50 mph. But I managed to get most of the fence wire hung. I have a bit more left but I did get the gate up and used some of the old temporary fence so the chickens wouldn't run loose on the street. LOL! I also got the decorative fence in the front yard put up. It's just one of those fences that remind you there is a sharp drop over and into the basement walkout path. Sadly, one of the pairs of Robins that come here to nest every year lost their nest in the wind storm. I found it in the chicken yard this morning with the remnants of two lovely blue eggs. My corn is starting to come up. I'm so happy to see that. I've been doing some strenuous work these past couple of days so I'll be taking it easy today and tomorrow to have a little fun. Pedicures today and maybe a bit of shopping then out to dinner tomorrow evening. I don't think we got any snow @Sueby. It did get down to 39F but I slept pretty soundly last night. I think I heard some rain drops for a bit and there were signs of a light overnight rain when I got up, but that's about all.

Oops! I forgot these pictures. The Fritillaria in bloom and one of the Impatien blossoms that just opened this morning.

Neighbor children just MayDay bombed me with a geranium plant. They're so sweet.

Just finished walking the orchard putting up stink strips. Deer have eaten in the past two days all leaves below three feet. Damn them.

Also, two heritage trees (sticks really) that cost me an arm and a leg, that I've been watching, didn't make it. The graft died back to the original tree at the ground. So I'll pull those. I'll never order from this company again. They're shifty in their description and their customer service is beyond horrible.

Off to the book market.

Making a 40 degree swing in temp from 40F early this morning to 80F around 4 or 5 pm. Then we settle back into the 60s tonight and warm up to 80 again tomorrow.

The crazy shift in temps today brings gusty winds with it. I'm getting the grass seed in finally though.

In health news, the second Covid test also came back negative. This was a more accurate one. I may try to reconnect with the doctor Monday if needed. I have a lot of chest congestion still. It got hard to breath a few times yesterday while getting yard work done. Today should be easier tasks thankfully.

You may have pneumonia. I’ve had it twice and the symptoms sound about right for it. Do speak to your doctor soon.

That's my worry. Wondering if the fox will see me in office now that the results are in.
Can you go to an Urgent Care facility? The first time I had pneumonia I was running a fever, congested, achy and really tired. I thought it was the flu. I felt better for a day then sick again. I ended up in the emergency room then was admitted to the hospital. After a little over a week of illness. It nearly killed me. I urge you to check this out as soon as possible. Hopefully I’m wrong and you just have a bothersome flu.
