What did you do in the garden today?

We have lots of ferals and some that the owner's let roam. I see cats patrolling daily. I also saw lots of bunny poop today looking around. I think these cats are duds. :barnie

I used to have a Jack Russell and never had trouble with moles. I also had 2 retire hunting English Setters that would fine them and dig them up! 😂 Sadly, these have passed on.

If I were not so worried about the foxes, I'd turn a couple hens loose on them. I bet they'd dig them up quickly!
Get a dog?

Another thing that should grow like mad here, but refuses, no pussy willow or forsythia either.
I tried pussy willow once but it died. We always get a drought during July and August with temps hovering around 100. I don't think pussy willow likes that type of weather. But it reminds me of my childhood so I tried...

Well I worked my tail off today but I got a lot done in preparation for the rain this week.

I got the memorial pollinator bed seeded.

I got the Rose of Sharon transplanted.

I got my broccoli and cauliflower starts in the ground.

And I got the dwarf mulberry in the ground too.

Then DH helped me put the pegboard up inside my gardening shed.

Now my feet hurt and my body is protesting in solidarity.... 😂

Today I went to Oroville to see my mom and dad. They got to meet Wally. I bought 2 crockpots, 1 6 qt and 1 4 qt. My husband doesn't like vegetables. I can make my own soup or stew and make a vegetable free one for him. I got the jelly my mom canned from the pomegranates. I love pomegranate jelly and the syrup tastes so good.
who is wally?
