Happy Monday!!

Went to the beach to collect drift wood for my nest box project. Right now it looks a bit like a hot mess but I still have hope for it. Ran into our pasture neighbor, explained to him what I was up to and how chickens don't buck and will actually leave an egg in a nest box a few times a week. He thought it a brilliant concept.

Eva got a pedicure on her snaggle feet and a saddle. Should have told my above friend how much a chicken saddle cost vs horse saddle... then there is the fit and assorted colors to be had...

Spider is always fabulous and a BYC pal painted his picture. Absolutely gorgeous <3
She has already posted on BYC so I don't think she would mind me showing off her fine work.

Cut some more grass and have the bulk drying on top of the mini coop. I should go cut some more... very tasty stuff.
And we still have Mochi and Mango who have some new toys and only go to the brooder when I vacuum and clean the floors now.

The goslings went on their first proper swim today! They stuck close to me but absolutely adored diving and splashing!
My pullets are starting to get their little combs and are feathering out more too, though I didn't realize that comet chickens weren't very big hahaha

Morning have 8 eggs under the black silkie was going to give her 10 broke on I was going to give then she kicked on out said not fertile I do trust my Silkie that way

It’s been busy and I keep forgetting to post but the hens have gotten to go out in the chicken tractor a few times now. I’ve spent today and yesterday hatching chicks!
