If you go to your profile, it's in the list of previous posts and 'Articles' you had before. Just mentally change the word Articles to pages and you'll get it. It's all right there, just scroll on to see all of your other stuff.

I guess I didn't realize that the My page was disappearing.

Can any of the staff or moderators send me a photo shoot of my page. It was a very brief narrative and photos on our shipping eggs process Please.

I described how we wrapped eggs in there and it was helpful for others shipping eggs....It was an easy way to see how we did that - complete with brief narrative and photos. I shared it with a lot of members who shipped and also listed it in my listings....

I will just make it another documents and try to attach content to interested folks..

I would appreciate it!

I'm still making up my mind about the relaunch. For now, it feels a lot like what happened when MS Word went from a toolbar to a 'ribbon' ...everything is pretty much there, but getting to it and using it is different than in the past. I'll reserve any judgement for after I've spent some time on the new platform.

At the moment I don't really love or hate it. That's probably because I'm using my tablet rather than a "real" computer though; it doesn't let me use the hover-you-mouse-over menus. But I have a feeling I'd love it if I was using a more standard computer.

i was useing my moms tablet and it wouldnt let me post ANY topics, or even post at all. so i have to use the computer... no more BYC on the go for me

I dont' have a problem with the ads - I realize that BYC needs advertisers to help pay the way for BYC. What I DO have a problem with is the reviews on the right side. They are very distracting and for the life of me, I cannot figure out what their purpose is? This really needs to GO !!!

Everyone has the option of making every photo private- all of your photos from the Old BYC are in an album called Uploads and those are private to you unless you make them public. Likewise, all new photos will be in an album called Default, which you can make private or public, per photo.

No, this is not correct. The album we have now is private (old BYC uploads). We can not add to that. We can upload to the public album or we can choose to not keep it in the album. We do not have the choice of adding it to our private album.

I have not yet read the info on how to do things in the new platform, or even this thread. But initially, i notice ADS ADS ADS!!! I was not aware that we were going to have ads on the new platform. I've been trying to read one thread, and on EVERY page of it so far, the right hand side of my screen has ads with big photos, and between them various things called "recent reviews" that have nothing to do with the thread I'm trying to read. To me that is distracting. Maybe people should have the option whether to see a lot of exteraneous material on their screens. To me, it just makes it more cluttered and confusing, and the images must slow up the navigation. There is already so much info on BYC that to throw in extra stuff on every page seems a poor choice. A clean uncluttered page is much more appealing to me than one stuffed with all sorts of extras.

I also had read ahead of time that we would not have any more auctions, waaahhhh! I looked today and saw there is a thread about eggs for sale, so I was relieved, but when I opened it and looked in there, NOBODY had listed anything there. I'm afraid one of my favorite parts of BYC is gone. Is there a possibility of somehow getting the auctions going again?

I'm sure there are tons of other changes I'll notice, and it sounds like inserting photos in posts will now be easy. Also it is great that the PM boxes will not have any limit anymore. Maybe as time goes on, the site can change and things that many people find difficult or annoying or lacking can be changed for the better!

I want to quote this because its so very true and posts like these always get ignored and nobody will change what bothers us. Instead they find the minor things and fix them. Anyway, like I said before....everything is now crowded and the ads make it worse. If the sidebar was disabled EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING would be much better! (that includes the ads, I mean c'mon don't the GFM and PPM give you enough money?) Also, take note that people that have dial-up will now find the forums very hard to access (I don't have dial-up, just speaking for others). If the sidebar is disabled, everything would be 100 times better because I just noticed that the bottom posts of the first few pages have no annoying ads on the side and the post looks wider and better.

or maybe just add a button so that the people that don't want to see the sidebar can disable it (and also a button on ads so we can disable them if we don't want to see them)

Where are my posts? I used to like to go everyday to see what others had posted on the Ameraucana thread which I had originally posted too. Was so easy to keep up with something that I am particularly interested in.
