What do you think of the new BYC platform?

I didn't read the whole thread. Is it possible to make it optional to view the reviews on the side of the screen? I understand having to have a few ads here and there for nonpaying members. It would probably be really helpful for people if they could turn off the sidebar.

Click on preferences and choose to "hide right column"

I believe right now it's set to GFM's and PPM's having that ability. You go to your profile, click edit account details then select Hide right column in forum threads.

Must only be PPM, I don't see that in my profile/account details page. That reviews page is pretty annoying- as someone else said I'd even prefer ads, at least they change.

I think that everybody is going to be annoyed with the new BYC for a while. It is human nature to reject change. But once we all get used to it, I think it will work out just fine.

Another issue I am having is some of the condescending tones taken with those who aren't liking the new system. We're allowed to have our opinions, thank you! But we're constantly being reminded that it was such hard work so we should be appreciative, and shame on us if we aren't happy with the change. Well, to me, it seems like they were working harder not smarter when this format was implemented.

I remember when my daughter started 2nd grade at a newly built school well to turn the lights on in her class room they had to use the switch in the next classroom and in some rooms the clocks ran backwards. Do you think i should have kept her out of school till everything was fixed ? Anyone that has made up their mind about the changes is in a rush to judge IMHO the site is less then 24 hours old let the paint dry and if you find something that's not right say what it is in detail and let them try to fix it good luck to all and have a nice day

I also can't find that in my account details. I dont really see the reason to have that reviews page on every page.
