Yes a red fox female lab to be exact!
And i decided to check some shelter websites i shouldnt have to many cute puppies that i need.

I did medical foster and rescue for over 20 years. I have encountered sooo many breeds of dogs. LoL They all are great but the ones that really touched my heart were 2 - 7 year old wolf hybrids (not attached to the rescue). This was at 2 different times in my life. One, his owner died in our livingroom in hubby's arms. He was a trained by our Navy Seal friend. I needed to retrain him. The other one was tied out behind a house that was abandoned for 4 years. He was found by a cousin and was"dangerous" but they knew I was his only hope because of the way I loved/trained the first one. I would Love another wolf hybrid. If they are guided in the right ways with no yelling, hitting, shaming, and hurting they are the most loving intelligent companions.

Slicker brushes do work on any type of fur. But some dogs dont like them at all. The grooming kit pamps posted would give you a good start since i has multiple brushes!

Alright, I'll have to prioritize a slicker then, and if I can I'll get another kind in case the puppy isn't a fan.

Even for now get cheaper brushes.
Like the rake brush i got for $3 it was on sale. And i use it every groom after 2 years its still good. A double sided pin brush does well to.

... Can I train the dog to bite trespassers on the lawn?? (I'm kidding, I'm just here to rant a little).
Someone went entirely out of their way to come up onto our private front door sidewalk in order to cut through the half foot deep snowy yard all the way to the public sidewalk on the other side of the street when there were entirely shoveled sidewalks all the way there... Which were the sidewalks they used to get to our yard in the first place. People keep cutting through and it's making me pretty mad. I just don't know what to do about it, I've always lived in the country and now we're on a corner lot in a suburb. Hopefully having a dog will give us an alarm bell and I'll be able to catch them in the act and ask them to use the nice, clean, wide open, safe, hazard free sidewalk.

Definitely!!! You teach pray drive first, and then get the dog to understand that people are part of that pray drive. It works like a charm!
