What Dog Breed Do You Want Today!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Do you think maybe he is losing interest because of not winning enough?
When he wins, he chews on the toy for a few seconds, then gets up and starts acting bored again. 乁( •_• )ㄏ
Im not sure its that. Winning does boost their drive and confidence. But it wouldnt make him 100% stop.

Even just a towel and treats works as a brain game.

How often are you trying to play?

Sometimes lower toy drive puppies turn higher drive as they get older. Denver did.
And he could just be tired, going through a growth. they dont want to play much then
Hmm, I probably try to entice him to play with either tug toy (they are physically different and he sometimes seems really excited for one or the other, and treats them differently) within every chunk of activity. A "chunk" being after rest when I take him outside, so maybe every 3ish plus hours. When it's mealtime though, I have been hand feeding and asking for basic things like "sit" and "down". After a meal he usually wants to play with something. I both play tug with the rope, and slide it across the floor because he likes running after it. He's getting bored with that, too, maybe because it's the same toy, just a different action.

Problem is, he would eat the towel. 😅😂 He also loses focus pretty much immediately if the food isn't in sight. He also won't eat out of a bowl. I followed the advice to hand feed for the first few meals in order to bond, and now he just sits and waits. Even if he's alone with leftover food for a couple of hours, he won't eat it unless he's working for it.

He started refusing to eat out of a bowl, despite hunger, after the first one or two meals.

These games look like a lot of fun! I'm sure once his attention span widens, he'd enjoy stuff like that. He's got some GSD brains.

Maybe dont play until he comes to you to play. He will learn if i take the toy she will engage with me sorta thing.

Play a game with the bowl have a piece of food put it in the bowl somewhere different then where he eats. And say get it point to thr piece of food. When he gets it treat him out of your hand. That may get him use to the bowl.
