I've come to really really enjoy having chickens (always knew I would, if I ever had the chance to have some)! I've had rats which are also a heart animal. A leopard gecko, she's cool and beautiful and I love her dearly, but you can't do much with them. Cats are amazing, fun pets, I love my big boy. But!

Dogs will always be #1 in my heart. I connect with them so easily! So much so that I sometimes wonder if I was a dog in a past life

Aww So many animals make good pets, but nothing is better than a dog

When we had to get rid of our first pup due to my sister i was heartbroken. We got him on my birthday (wasnt planned)and at first i didnt want him(i was young), but he was the best the perfect mix of aussie and lab.
Then my dad really wanted a hunting dog we didnt think it was actually my sister at the time. Well came a yellow lab pup he had to go back to the breeder as he was deaf and blind.
Then our last lab our chocolate. He was a good boy but way to strong. Because of my sister again we had to get rid of him.
For around 4 or 5 years we didnt have a dog until we got Denver. And im so glad to have dogs now otherwise id be lost.

Did your sister do it on purpose? Or was she just completely clueless?

I wish!! My last dog was my pittie mix who had to be euthanized in 2020 while I was living across the country

I torture myself all the time by looking at the dogs on petfinder...

Technically when I was living with my bf I was living with 3 chihuahuas... But they were my bf's parents' dogs, not mine. I did love them, though. Poor things are so neurotic and anxiety aggressive because of those people. They shouldn't have pets

Probably more clueless. But she hovered over them making the first one go at her as she was eating and he went at her face. My dad gor bit because he stuck his hand out.
Then she continued.

She has had dofs since moving out and lets just ssy they dont last more than 6 months before she gets rid of them

That’s sad, some people shouldn’t have dogs. I hate saying that though, they just need to learn how to actually take care of a dog.

Yeah, i agree. I hate seeing dogs (or any animals) not being looked after properly

Those are great! But you really should get a Doberman, they are MUCH better
