Yeah, I do like them as dogs, but not for a family with t o d d l e r s. That's when it's rough. That dog wouldn't get enough interaction anyways, it wouldn't be good for it. We don't need one in a guarding capacity, either, we live in Wyo in a suburb. ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

Aww, dobies are big goofballs. They can have behavioral issues but so can any dog. Just gotta do your research so you're prepared!

That’s sad, some people shouldn’t have dogs. I hate saying that though, they just need to learn how to actually take care of a dog.

She definitely shouldnt. A dog died in her care(it was her husbands) as she was chained outside and couldnt get to water on a 90 degree day.

they dont deservce dogs and i could think of a few more that dont.

I like the saying that says "Every dog deserves a home but not every home deserves a dog"

We thought abut a Golden! I wanted something less monotonous though. Border collies are so cute but I'd never be able to give it enough stimulation.

My husband and I would love to get a rough Collie! Our new house has a big dog door already, too.

They are amazing dogs Chickers!
They tend to nip but would make amazing family dogs with proper training!

Dobies are perfectly fine with toddlers, it’s how you manage them. But yeah, I totally get it! They aren’t for everyone! And a lot of people get them that shouldn’t. They are a handful.
