What Dog Breed Do You Want Today!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Pics
Just watching the Westminster agility championship that I recorded yesterday. You can really tell the energy of breeds by watching them compete. I used to want another poodle but they have too much energy, and the barking. Than an Australian shepherd, which I don't often see competing in agility came out, and my heart went pitter patter.

They are said to be high energy, but I've never seen them like that. The golden that ran before barked and was very eager. The Aussie was quiet, and had a lower energy. Yes I love the breed. Now if only they could get a boxer to run agility. I think I've seen one, and it was adorable.
Here’s a whole video of just Boxers!!!!!! A little long but but adorable LOL

Would you consider Boxers your favorite breed (if you have one) and just curious, why did you end up picking Boxers over Dobermans?
For many years boxers were my absolute favorite breed and they continue to one I continue to keep. Just one at a time. They are precious.

When I first started to look for a dog breed after I lost my German shepherd I still wanted what was considered a protection breed. Doberman went to the top. I than picked up a book, can't recall it now, it might have been The Right Breed of Dog for You and I did the quiz and I discovered boxers were good with children, and are perpetual puppies. Playing their whole lives. I personally enjoy a confident clownish dog. Boxer were the first breed that was like that for me. Always coming up with goofy ideas, and always loving their people. They don't bark much, only when necessary. I don't like needless barking. They were a better fit for what I was looking for.

Boxers do have their health problems, but so do Doberman, so I picked what I thought was a better fit and never looked back. Occasionally I look at Doberman, but the larger size also discourages me. My boxers have been around 55-60 pounds with Rosie my current old lady being around 70 pounds. Boxers are portable and can fold themselves up into little beds like goofs. They make me laugh daily.

Sorry for the long response. :)

That makes a lot of sense. I see why someone would like them so much. Are boxers considered protective? Dobermans are also big goofs but they are definitely protective and need careful attention when around strangers (at least some of them)

The problem is, the heavier the Boston the bulkier they are. I love Dorie's slim athletic build.
Never mind, just looked at some 30-40lb Bostons and they don't look too bulky. I need one! 😍
