Brew is still so puppy like sometimes LOL at least in his interactions with other dogs

There are LOTS of adult and senior dogs languishing in shelters. There are many advantages to adopting an adult, the biggest one is that what you see is what you get. And "what you get" is generally past the puppy craziness and chewing stages.Only thing holding me back is I'm not sure I want to raise a pup currently..
I have 6 female dogs. It would be near impossible to add an adult. Puppies I know how to raise and introduce to my pack. Adults aren't my thing. I prefer knowing how my dogs are raised. I admire those who are willing to take on an adult. I cannot, plus no one would adopt to us anyways. Too many rules and restrictions. I don't add to the pet overpopulation. I responsibly own from beginning to end. There are LOTS of adult and senior dogs languishing in shelters. Both make great cuddle buddies.I think a Boston would be a perfect addition. Or a rattie.![]()
That’s perfect! LOL Brew might get a little jealous thoughBoth make great cuddle buddies.
but that’s okay LOL do they get zoomies and wanna play? LOLThey do. Rat terriers play more vigorously because everything is a rodent that needs killing. So toys get shook, and stuffing removed to make sure they are dead. That’s perfect! LOL Brew might get a little jealous thoughbut that’s okay LOL do they get zoomies and wanna play? LOL
Awwwwww that’s awesome!!!!!!!!! I think a Boston would be perfect!!!!!!!!! Playing chase for forever, getting Mister Tubby Pants in shape, the usual…They do. My one Boston mix likes to run, and be chased. She always ends up being Braveheart with the other ones trying to pull her apart. I yell knock it off, and Shorty jumps up, and takes off like a crazy rabbit with the rest in pursuit.
Both breeds like to cuddle with their owners, and sleep under the covers. It's hard to pick between them.
hahahahaha not sure I want stuffing all over my apartment (with the ratties)…
Ratties seem perfect otherwise though LOL and could be useful to catch some of the rodents we have around here but still LOL Brew does the stuffing thing a little tiny bit but not really. His is more he licked it/gently nibbled on it to death and wore a hole in it and then some stuffing came out LOL or once that hole happened, then he purposely pulls it out. But otherwise, he’s very gentle with his toys LOL but yeah, I think he’d like a Boston. And perfect apartment size! He’s played with one before a few times (same one) and did well! So yeah. A Boxer would be really cool too but they’re big. IDK.
I think I REALLY want a hound/retriever mix or pit/lab or pit/lab/hound like Brew is LOL those mixes seem awesome LOL I know Brew is. But obviously even the same exact mix as Brew or his litter mates or whatever can be vastly different from him so I’m not expecting one to be exactly the same but still. A similar mix and/or similar personality would be nice LOL he is the BEST dog LOL
