I want one. Also Golden. I saw two (or maybe the same one twice LOL IDK) absolutely gorgeous ones on my walk today plus I absolutely loved my friend’s Goldens and working/playing with them, etc. LOL but I haven’t seen them for a long time. But their dogs were/are awesome LOL also Labs too. I’ve met/known a lot of great ones. Labs are everywhere down here. That and doodles hahaha GSDs too it seems. Anyways, the ones I’ve met have been SO sweet and amazing. So I definitely want one of them. Plus the shorter fur is a huge bonus LOL also another pittie mix LOL or pure pit or one of the other many bully breeds LOL I just LOVE them now. Also a beagle. Or other hound. Not Bassett though LOL

I need smaller due to my bad back. I may still try one more boxer, but anything bigger, or hi maintenance is off the list. The recent mud really put me off any coated breeds going forward even my beloved aussies.

That’s understandable!!!!!!!! Brew is SO dang strong. I question getting another breed like that or this size LOL I hate high maintenance too. I do NOT want a coated breed or one I have to take to the groomer every month or whatever LOL Goldens are MAYBE the only exception because they are just SO sweet and loving and I’ve heard some of them have a wash and wear coat and dry in 15 minutes or less while others are like sponges sucking up all the briars and water and mud etc. and take hours or even days to fully dry LOL so if I can find the wash and wear type, that would be amazing. Otherwise it’s Labs, Pitties/bully breeds in general, Beagles/hounds in general, or mixes LOL rat terriers sound amazing theoretically too LOL and I REALLY want a GSP or Vizsla LOL

Back when I groomed some guy would bring in his 90 pound golden for baths. It was a lot of work. So much coat. He was gorgeous. They are nice dogs. Soft, and gentle in most instances. Some are just nutty if they don't get enough exercise.
