DOBIE DOBIE DOBIE DOBIE MORE PICTURES NOW

I just have more stories…she was very tall, could reach the table without having to stand on her hind legs, once, there was some butter on the table, she walked by and casually licked over the top of the butter, me; did that really just happen
-she was so fast, she ran 50km/hr, I used to go biking with her, we were biking (she was running ) beside a main road, driver looks out at us casually , you should have seen his eyes pop, when we were stiil beside him after 5 minutes
-squirrel story, she suddenly made strange noises and started to move in jerks, I thought the dog was sick, turned out, she saw a squirrel, and tried to hide her movement, when the squirrel saw her and ran behind a wall, you should have seen my dog, running beside the wall on her HIND legs like a human
- we were walking, she was running, there was a fence, I thought she would jump over it, it wasn’t very tall, no, she spreadeagled her legs for a second, slid under (!) the fence and kept on running
-another story, I just had her for 6 weeks and decided to let her run free in the woods, she started running with her long legs in gigantic circles around me, but didn’t stop, I wanted to put her on the lash again, finally, I got her to stop by calling out “sit” while she was running past me, she knew that command, so the promptly sat and I could put her on the leash again, she was a great dog, I won’t forget her!

I would have loved to get another Dobi, sadly, they are on the dangerous dog list, they just compiled it, shortly after I had gotten her, they made us jump through many hoops and tests, I was always afraid they would put her down if something ever happened, it stressed me out a lot, something can happen, it’s not the dogs fault, but because they are declared dangerous, she would always be on the losing side , they are wonderful loyal dogs, of course the watch dog is bred into them, but great with family, her only fault was she like to run one off your feet and she had a very sensitive intestine, I spent my first Euros on her, whenever she got diarrhea, it was always bloody, so we had to get her treated very fast!
She was also a very strong dog, and pulled the sleigh ( as long as I was running beside her) with the kids, or my hubby on it ( my hubby is not a light weight )
The next dog I got never pulled the sleigh, when I fixed him in front of the sled, he turned to me and looked at me like “are you crazy, or what?!”

No, I got a totally different dog, cos I feared another dog wouldn’t measure up to her, it was a mistake, he was so different , I yearned for my other dog he was a brindle livestock guard dog, I got him when he was 3 ( he had already gone through 3 different owners ) he never really bonded with us, he growled, when we accidentally stepped on him, and then ignored us for the next 3 days… but he had big shoes to fill

Dobies are definitely on my list of dogs that I want, my only worry is their prey drive, but I've had lots of high prey drive dogs on a farm and only one has ever been untrainable, sometimes you can't undo centuries of breeding with bacon flavored nuggets.

Was about to go walk her then she got too excited so I had to pull out the treats and then she just sat down looking at me so I was like "You better behave" and as soon as I unhooked the leash it was over for me cuz she just bodied my legs at full speed.
