Our only good one closed a couple of summers ago. The one that remains is a cat specialist. Dog neuters are WAY different from cats, and they nearly killed my little cockapoo - literally. We ended up at the emergency vet and even then, I almost lost him!And we have a lot of low cost spay and neuter clinics around here too as well as several pit bull specific programs that get an even lower cost. My regular vet is quite affordable too though so it wasn’t bad LOL
Awwww that’s terrible!!!!!!!!! I’m sorry. Our only good one closed a couple of summers ago. The one that remains is a cat specialist. Dog neuters are WAY different from cats, and they nearly killed my little cockapoo - literally. We ended up at the emergency vet and even then, I almost lost him!
I'd take a kitty to them in a heartbeat, but never again a dog.

Awwwww she sounds amazing!!!!!!!!!!We had a young adult Carolina female dog dropped off at our new house last year... long story short a breed i had never heard of is now my absolute favorite! She is gentle, both very intelligent and very obedient (hard get both) and trainable, super athletic, a fantastic small animal hunter, and excellent around small kids. Within 2 months we had her leash trained, trained to sit, come, not jump up (usually) not steal food from babies, protect and not attack or chase our chickens, and reasonably good at leash free "heel"!! The combination or sharp intelligence AND incredible desire to please is just amazing.![]()
Don't be! It was a hard lesson learned, but learn we did! Everything came out all right in the end. That silly little dog survived his neuter and jumping out the window of my minivan in front of a very busy McDonald's. In fact, his full name, which was actually written on his vet card & computer file, was Indigo Out the Window of a Moving Minivan in the Middle of 896 in the Middle of Rush Hour. Three vets put Indy at nearly 5 years old when he was found - dumped, lost and confused - by my bestie ... and we had him for over 16 years!Awwww that’s terrible!!!!!!!!! I’m sorry.![]()
