I currently have a few different aged silkies, and I was wondering if anyone could guess the gender of some of them? I am going to post the 3 oldest ( black, blue?, and a splash) because I feel like my other 2 groups are still too small to tell. Any guesses or advice on how to determine gender would be great. Thanks

Ages? Close up of combs (use one hand to push back crest). 😊
I went out and got some pictures, they’re between 3-4 months in age 😊 I got some pictures, the first one is the splash, the second is the blue colored one, and the third is the black one. Thank you!

Great photos! 😊
The blue and black are pullets. On the fence with the splash as the comb is reddening up a bit, but it is not as much as I would expect at this age. Keep an eye on the splash for the comb enlargening, deepening in the mulberry color and the development of streamers. Could go either way for me at this point.
Beautiful birds.😊

Ok thank you so much! As long as 2/3 are probably pullets I’m happy, I don’t have a rooster yet so I could live with the splash being a rooster, especially since he’s so sweet lol. ☺️
