What I hoped would never happen has..

I am so sorry to hear about Frack. Your story made me cry. Especially the part about burying her and getting help from the flock. I am so sorry.

But thank you for sharing. It reminded me to continue to be super vigilant with my girls. We have a fenced property, but I've noticed some neighbors' dogs running down the greenbelt near our house and through our property lately. They would love one of our birds. Your very sad experience will help me to remember the dangers at all times.

Thank you for sharing. I am so sorry.

Sorry about Frack...that's really a tough situation to handle. I hope you get some satisfaction from the dog warden.

I am so very terribly sorry about your Frack. From one chicken lover to another, I know how much you will miss her, and my thoughts are with you.

you poor thing. what a sad story. sorry for such a loss. i think other animals do know whats going on. they are very smart. your chicken will be missed by his little feathered friends.

I am sorry for you loss. Two years ago that was my story but I lost 4 (my faves of course) and never found the bodies of 2 or the dogs owner. My DH also didn't understand just how much it hurt even though he did try. In most areas you need to insist that the report be filed and charges be pressed. If you don't then they may just get a talking to.

Here the fine is over $300 plus compensation for the bird. Maybe if they have to pay they will learn.

So sorry for you loss, please keep us posted on what happens to the owner ad the dogs.

I know your pain too. I lost my hen. I called her boss lady. She followed me around everywhere. Her and 15 others were killed by a dog about 6 months ago.
