Since it looks like you are getting more ducks, and you likely will be putting them in the car a few more times.... if that tote isn't anything special to you, might want to cut a hole in the top that is big enough she can stick her head and neck out, but can't do her grand escape. Then she has air, can see what's going on, and can't escape and scare both of you half to death.

Like it's a duckie car seat! What a great idea, maybe a little padding around the edge of the hole for comfort?

Yep, maybe take a piece of felt to line the hole, though the feathers should help pad some too.

She seems to be doing well; no noticeable limping (aka, she ran out of attention seeking melodrama LOL) and she’s moving around her little confines just well. Saw her laying down last night and during some of her naps so that tells me that her progression on healing continues. Just hope that it continues to go well and that we won’t have to do any corrective mess because of her scabbing.

LOL as it is currently, she doesn’t have much of anything on that spot. Looks like some downy fluffs are trying to return but it’s not a consistent fluff. I feel bad because (and I spoke this with the Vet) she’s probably a little peeved that we went and shaved her bosom, in the exact space that touches the cold ground, in the middle of cold season.

It’s probably the one perk of being inside my porch area. It still gets cold in there but is a few degrees warmer and zero wind.
