That's what we are all trying to figure out. They are supposed to be sex links with boys being barred but a lot of us have noticed it doesn't appear to be true. It seems that the darker the chick the better chances of it being a girl.

Do it haha. There's a place near me that always gets cool rare chicks on Fridays so by the time I am off work they are always gone

Maybe ask to see if they know how they're sexed.
Everything I've found points to the barred vs non barred.
But it does seems Hoover's has something else going on.
IDK if they're vent sexing or what.
Also wondering if theirs is some kind of copy using different breeds and a different recipe.

Their pretty knowledgeable with what they have but with new sapphire, I doubt the staff know though, they just pay extra to get them sexed.

Curious of those with these how many have any that are barred?
How many have suspected males that aren't barred.
And if everyone got pullets or straight run or?

Thinking maybe being a wholesale buyer or at least a retail buyer maybe they could ask and get more of a response then others have.

Any updates or new pictures? I'm going to try and get some of my 3 week olds. I feel like I have mostly boys based on comb size and leg thickness. This includes light and dark chicks. So far all are feathering in solid though.

I did take some more recent pics, I'll try to get them here later.
