Ok I know I sound weird but I don't know what breed are my ducks and it has been 16 months since I brought then home, The female duck has not lay a single egg. The male duck does his job well . The black one is male and the brown one is female (I think).

How big are they (weight)? Maybe it's the picture but they look small. I agree that they both have similar coloring to WH and SAs.

First you need to figure out if you actually have a male and female. Neither looks to have a drake curl but not all drakes get them so that's not unheard of. If it quacks it's a female. If it makes a raspy noise (I think it sounds like a goose with a sore throat) it's a male. They may both be males and one is simply dominating the other.

If the brown one is a female...
If it's been over a year since you got them she should be laying. She may be laying in hidden places. Mine are terrible about laying in a nest box and I have to search daily for eggs.

She may be too stressed to lay if she is the only female and is being over-mated. Some breeds are okay with a 1 to 1 ratio but many domesticated duck breeds aren't. An often suggested number is 3 females per male.

She may be one of those girls that never lays an egg. I've got a 2+ year old chicken hen that has never laid an egg.

They are so pretty. Are they mixed? To me they look like silver apple yard and welsh mix. The egg thing will come in time. Are you sure they are male and female. If not your "female" might be male. Does the male have drake feathers? They are so cute!!!
Thank you . The black or Mr. Black is male cause he tries to have sex with miss brown but I noticed some thing so far that the brown one doesn't want to have sex.

2 or 3kg I think. These were couples when I bought them back then. The man from whom I bought these ducks told me that the black one is male and brown one is female. I don't know much but both have weird voices but the brown one is really loud. The black is male cause he aggressive and tries to have sex. It is the brown that I am confused.
I dont want their eggs just want them to have babies. They cant hide eggs anywhere cause the place is wide open, no where to hide, They have good diet cause I give them mixed feed and cooked rice some times.

They're very pretty :)

When there are no females, drakes will still try to mate with each other. I had a pair of drakes as my first ever birds, about ten years ago, and the two would chase each other and try to pin each other down so they could 'mate' with the one that was pinned.

This page will help you sex them by voice. There are recordings you can play to hear what a drake sounds like and what a hen sounds like.

Female ducks can mate other female ducks. It’s a domination thing. Are you feeding them a high protein feed? I don’t have ducks so I don’t know if they need gamebird feed, I think I read it somewhere. When I had ducks years ago we fed it to them anyway because they needed it as ducklings and we also had quail. You said one of them is loud, probably a duck and not a drake. Not sure about the other one. Maybe get more female ducks but watch them to make sure they get along and you may need to quarantine them
