What is this? Is it normal?

I went to let my girls out and my 1yr old Wyandotte hen had a poopy butt with some sort of bloody chunk. I checked the coop and no blood or other chunks. I have never seen this before so I was wondering if anyone knew if this was normal or not. She is otherwise acting fine and has been laying eggs regularly. Thank you

If it's blood and not just intestinal lining, there could be an issue. To test the red stuff to see if it's blood or just harmless intestinal lining, put a couple drop of undiluted peroxide on it. If it fizzes, it's blood. If it doesn't react, it's just intestinal lining sloughing off and not an issue.

I would clean it off, and cut it in half, just to see if it could be a tiny lash egg. Hopefully not, but it may be intestinal lining or tissue which probably would be more common.
