What is Your Favorite Christmas Dish? (PARTY!)

I am so impressed with all of you who bake for your dogs and cats, and make totally awesome treats for the chickens!!!

I don't know about the others, but I won't be making 60 dozen or so like you! I bow down to you for such a feat! I don't think it's ever been cold enough to have an oven on that long.

I have been doing this for 40 years, and I usually make more. Shorter list this year. I would have some family members disown me if I stopped now.

Made 22 dozen of these Pistacchio-Cherry-Chocolate Cookies this afternoon.

Favourite Christmas food in our house has to be the dessert, good old Pavlova, with lashings of cream and loads of fruit.





The Christmas Day meal itself is an easy affair, with loads of prawns, smoked salmon, crab, array of salads and bread rolls. You just grab a plate, help yourself and dig in.

Desserts on offer range from Pavlova- of course, to jelly, trifle, brandy snaps and ice cream.

For me, we have coffee cake and YUM IS IT GOOD!

oOO oatmeal and Raisin Cookies with a twist.

One day I wanted Oatmeal and raisin cookies... But I didnt have any butter. So I omitted the salt and used Bacon Grease.... Oh MY Gawd they were soo good. every one raved about it and asked me what was different...

They took one look and then took another bite and had more cookies.
