I got 3 americaunas, none look like an americauna, but this one looks way different than the others! Can someone please help me figure out what chick it is? I am so stumped. I’ve never seen on with markings like this on the face. It’s got eyeliner, zig-zags, and it’s super fluffy.

Probably an Easter Egger. They can have large variation sometimes since they are not a true breed. Often hatcheries will label then as 'americanas' or 'americaunas', something I fell into when I first got chicks. The correct name is 'ameraucanas', but I think these aren't it. Super fluffy though!

It definitely looks different from the others we got. These are the others from the same hatching, they are sleek, have yellow legs, and different colorings and different facial color pattern. These first two pics are the different chicks and then the last pic is the original one I posted (for comparison)

We got them in a pinch because they didn’t have Easter eggers. I’d MUCH rather have an EE than ameraucana though based on temperment since I also have silkie and salmon faverolle pullets. I can’t find any pictures of chicks that look like this one though. I also should add, they had wellsummers in the same brooder, but this one doesn’t look quite like a wellsummer to me

Well the eyeliner and overall coloring+pattern corresponds to EE's I've had. Plus those legs are green. The only major difference in my mind is how fluffy it is. Nah, I don't think this is a Welsummer.

It’s SUPER fluffy, and only getting fluffier. I don’t know of any full sized birds that are fluffy? None of the others we got from the same brooder are fluffy, they’re all sleek.
