What kind of dog do you have?

Carole, what a nice looking puppy! She's adorable and looks like a good little girl! Have a good time now with this new little one-or I should say young one. She's not going to stay little. She'll take up a new place in your heart as Balto won't ever leave the place he has in your heart. We just make new room for the new animals we get-they don't replace the old loves we had.

I have two Bulldogs and one Bullmastiff. I love the bulldogs, but the bullmastiff is the best dog in the world. He is a rescue, I trained him to get his TDI and is a therapy dog. The bulldogs are wonderful too. The bullmastiff is getting trained to respect the chickens and is doing fine. The jury is out with the bullies - they, as a breed can be somewhat hard-headed. Not to cut them short though, I haven't worked with them yet. I'll let you know.

They all get along great with the other animals. I think it mostly matters how they're raised rather then what breed they are.

I have a black lab and 2 rottweilers...

They all get along and are great with our other pets like the chickens and cats etc.

All our dogs are very affectionate, loyal and loving and make great family pets as well.

They do require alot of time though, I spend loads of time training them, however they are all quick and eager to learn. Also we don't have a big yard here in the UK, so we spend lots of time walking and exercising them - which brings it's own problems like liability because the lab will accept food and strokes from anyone whilst the rotties are a bit more reserved, alert and very protective of it's family.

And of course the food and vet bills start adding up but until now they have been really healthy just needed usual vacinations...

I think next time I might try a smaller breed like either a beagle or jack russel terrier...

This is our lab/Shepard-Chow we rescued at 12 weeks. She is very concerned about whether or not the chickens are going to peck her.

And this is our Basenji, also a rescue dog. She would like to eat the chickens so no interspecies photos.

All these dogs have such personality!

Snugglepup- I love your Terv's! Of course we aren't really sure what Brandi is, but they did say Terv mixed with collie. I can definately see the Terv in her, after seeing your dogs. She is a special pup, and so smart!

I have 4 dogs.

1 miniture pinscher, 1 chi, 1 chi/pom mix and a black & tan coonhound mix.
The coonhound mix is fine with with small animals(chickens) if she is on the chain, but if she ios off, she ends up killing them. The small dogs can care less, they only go out side to go potty and then they want back in.
If they are in the pen, then Carson(chi/pom) will bark at them, but then he runs way.
