What poultry product do you wish you had?

You know, I was thinking a force field bubble that would keep the chickens in and everything else out, from the air or on the ground, would be the best solution. Kind of like Stephen King's Dome, but with an access door for me to get in and out for maintenance, feeding, etc...

LOL! I'm a big Stephen King fan! Predators are the biggest pain in the butt when raising birds.

Medicines that really work. I have wasted so much money and suffered such heartache treating sick chickens. Nothing helps them. Why cant science focus a little time on avian health care instead of considering fowl dispensable creatures. We who have them as pets dont consider them dispensable.

I think if you keep chickens as pets, that's great. Most people around here keep chickens as livestock, or maybe a small backyard flock as semi-pets. I do agree that chickens are mostly considered dispensable, both as livestock and backyard flock pets. They don't share the same status as cats or dogs for most people.

I'm going to school to be a Veterinarian, poultry health and medicine specialist.

We have a couple veterinarians around here where I live, but none of them know anything about chickens. If we can't treat our sick chicken(s) on our own, they get culled and replaced.

I'm not looking to make a fortune. I want to be low cost. Maybe a 20% profit for each visit.
Animal care shouldn't cost an arm and a leg.

A new thing now offered in veterinary school is Poultry Health and Medicine. That is the degree needed to learn medicine for backyard poultry. That is the degree I will be pursuing.

Change is happening, but it will be at least 4 years before you see people coming out with the necessary training.

An actual consumer freindly bumblefoot kit with debridement tools, a suitable dermal punch maybe even a wound packer and foot wrap.
It would be heaven just to be able to purchase a kit and not have to scrounge one up.
