I bought some shortbread of the kind the stores sell in the produce section next to the strawberries along with canned whipped cream. It's very similar to Twinkies material. I put it on top of the fridge and forgot about it. A month or so later I went to throw it out, expecting it to be moldy, but, nope. Looked as fresh as the day I bought it. Another month went by and I looked at it again. This was rather frightening but I left it there. After the third month I shrugged and put it in the freezer for the next time strawberries are in season. I'm really kind of afraid to eat it, though.

But you might live forever!

You might also die.

It's 50/50 at best.

Okay… imagine it’s the apocalypse or some other devastating event, decades from now, and you’re scrounging for food… not much survived but what did? I’m thinking Twinkies and Spam 🤣 maybe peanut butter??? But I feel like the fats would go rancid? Any other ideas? And we can expand beyond just food too. What would survive? And what would you do if this happened?
The chickens survived.... :drool
That’s what I’m saying. My chickens survived because I vet wrapped their wings and stacked them like cord wood in the survival bunker next to the goats and donkeys lol.
