When Oregon was on fire we had to evacuate. So I already have practice with this. I bet wrapped their wings so they couldn’t flap, and literally stacked them in the backseat of my car.
like this?

That is the EXACT picture that gave me the idea!!!!!!! Yes exactly like that but with vet wrap (I have a bulk box of like 600 rolls). They were in the van, and the rest in the car, next to my goat in the backseat!
That must have been terrifying. :hugs Did your house and everything survive?

Yes. It was so scary. I didn’t sleep for five days before we got the order to “MOVE NOW” and thankfully it stopped right at the edge of our property. But so many people I know and live lost everything. I ended up taking in and boarding/rehabbing unclaimed/evacuated farm animals.

Just seeing that makes my stomach hurt 😢 man. That was so scary. The fire stopped right at the edge of our property. So many weren’t so lucky. The smell of smoke now, something I used to live, makes my brain go into ptsd mode. So hopefully this apocalypse is fire free 😆
:hugs

Something like that sure has an impact. Blessings to you for reaching out and helping where you could.

Everyone did. As horrifying as it was, seeing all these people who politically had been divided and fighting for so long, forget about who voted trump, and who didn’t, and who thought this or that, and just give everything to those around them, both people and animals, was really amazing.
