I also use cabbage as a noodle replacement (me and wheat don't get along

). I slice it in to thin ribbons, cook it in butter, and then I top it with chicken and alfredo sauce.

Another wonderful idea, Thanks!

This was interesting to read because someone told me last week that you cant feed cabbage to chickens because thier digestive system cannot digest it and they bloat and die. I dont have a garden, and dont buy/use cabbage, so i forgot about it til i saw this. so i guess its not true

its very easy to make. Its a play on the regular polish perogi. Have you ever had them? Only with this recipe you dont have to spend hours in the kitchen and it DOES taste just like a regular perogi... Anyways...

You boil a bag of wide egg noodles, rinse, and set aside. IN a large sauce pan melt a stick of butter..add rough shredded uncooked cabbage, sliced onion, maybe some garlic to taste, salt/pepper to your taste. Cook the cabbage/butter down on a medium heat, stirring frequently so it dosent stick to the pan and burn. (dont cover while cooking) Cook the cabbage till its the firmness/softness YOU like to eat it at. Add another stick of butter to the cooked down cabbage mixture, and let it melt.

Now you add the cooked egg noodles to the cabbage mixture and mix it well, so all the noodles are coated with the butter and cabbage. I also add a cooked sliced kelibasa to the mixture then..just so its a more hardy meal.(but you dont have to do that).. Try it..really! Its Yummy!
