My baby chicks received a scrambled egg today to give them a much needed boost.
Boy did it start the comical antics as they raced to see who could gobble up the most.
My girls had some oatmeal for breakfast, mixed in with leftover waffles with maple syrup, a grilled cheese sandwich for lunch, some grapes and acorn squash, a few handfuls of clover, some parsnip leaves from the garden, and the usual scratch and feed.
see others feed their chickens eggs. I'm new at this and hadn't thought that through.........is it for the protein?
Our girls are super happy and healthy.
My quail girls got a pile of clover that I picked for them, plus some wild strawberries.
I'll admit that I did not share the ripe red raspberries. I ate those all by myself. I intend on doing so with the ones that should be ripe tomorrow, too. (I only have a few.)
