What type is my 8 week old Orpington?

The young yellow one in the picture looks like a buff Orpington mix and is definitely a boy. As for the black and white one, I think it’s a mix, I have no idea what the breed mix is though, sorry.

No she doesn't have a beard. Here's a photo of the other one we got at the same time. I think this one is a boy.

she isn't coming over to me right now so this photo is worse I'm afraid. At least her face is in it.

If the age is really 8 wks, then the comb and wattles say boy.

Mixed breed cockerel. You can see sickle feathers coming in in his tail.

Crossbred cockerel. If you paid a lot for this "Orpington" you got took.

They do have Orpington in them, (white legs) but are mixed with something else. They are pretty boys!

There are other breeds that have white legs. It doesn't automatically point to Orpington. Sussex for example have white legs. As do Favorelles and Marans.
