If water soaks into the feathers, then he could drown if he got into deep water. If you can keep him/her in the house, I would say go for it.

They have an instinct to go in water, so you'll have to watch them closely if you let them have playtime outside.

I will try to talk my mom into it. THAT will hard. She absoutly HATES it when I have day old chicks living in my room. So a huge duck! Oh boy... lol! I really don't know why she cares because she never comes in there. Wait till I break the news that I have to keep my goslings in the house! Ha!!
