The City of Valdez sponsored a chainsaw carving contest. The City retained the entries and we have a lot great carvings installed across town.

It is 1:39am and it is currently 26°F while feeling like 26°F with 66% humidity and a 16°F dew point with E winds at 2mph.

We will have the potential for a winter storm all day today into tomorrow, 100% chance of snow with a high of 29°F and SE winds of 15-25mph with 5-8 inches of snow being expected during the day.

We are now under a winter storm warning here from 3am Saturday till 6am Sunday. Heavy snowfall of between 6-10 inches is expected during the two days of the winter storm watch and we will have southeast winds could gust up to 30mph.

50° and clear with 65% humidity (yay!) at 3:15 A.M. High of 78°. More than warm enough for snakes to still be out and about. This one was found in a pool!

Chicken delights will be blueberries and sprouted broccoli seeds.

52 with light rain at 6:38 AM. Today’s high is predicted to be 68. It is amazing to see all of the winter storm/snow posts on here when we still have green trees and blooming flowers. I think we might actually get a freeze this week to finally kill off the mosquitoes. It feels odd sitting on the screened porch all decked with garland and wreaths with lizards crawling, roses blooming, mosquitoes buzzing…..šŸ™„
You all can keep the squalls and blizzards, but send cold temps and snow south, please!!!
