What's the temperature where you are???

Yuck, I've heard this winter is going to be pretty bad for some folks. I think I'm right below the split line, so my area may, or may not get some of that snow. So far, we have had one flurry and a short period of sleet.

Have been home from work since 5:30am. It is currently 17°F while feeling like 17°F with 82% humidity and a 13°F dew point with calm winds.

Supposed to be cloudy with snow likely this afternoon and a high of 29°F with winds that are light and variable. A 90% chance of snow with about 1 inch expected.

We are under a winter weather advisory from 2pm until midnight with snow expected to accumulate to between 2-4 inches and higher totals are expected locally south of interstate 80. So I'll need to be careful on my way to work tonight due to slippery roads.

Drive safely and be aware of other drivers. Some of them are usually the problem. Especially around the holidays, when tourists unused to the road conditions are around.

Hottest spring on record for Australia's east coast as dangerous weekend storms return

By ABC meteorologist Tom Saunders

An ongoing heatwave along Australia's eastern seaboard will fuel further extreme weather this weekend, and its longevity is now breaking long-standing records.

Both Sydney and Brisbane are on track for their hottest-ever springs, with temperatures comfortably above all previous years dating back to the 1800s.

The heat will also combine with high humidity to spark another round of severe thunderstorms across Queensland and north-east New South Wales, while further south, a dry heat this weekend has triggered ongoing fire weather warnings from Sydney and the Hunter to the Central West.

But while the east is sweating, the south will shiver, and the first day of summer will even bring snow to the ranges.

--- and no one is complaining given all the Summer rain we've had in recent years. Christmas here is a big outdoor event spent at the beach or parkland with a beer and a BBQ.

And here it’s unseasonably cold. Christmas here is spent inside - I’d love to spend a Christmas at the beach!

Currently -11C it was showing -12C driving in around 6:30am. Had snow overnight, around 10” of the evil white stuff from lake effect snow squalls. Wind is now NE so the snow machine has been turned off.

It’s pretty but I’d rather not have it.

Saturday it was lovely, that was the last the chooks could get out.

Sunday had snow also, thankfully it wasn’t cold, stayed above freezing most of the day yesterday.

Hope your drive was ok, everyone driving in snowy conditions please take your time, and keep you distance from the vehicle in front of you. Better to arrive alive late, than never at all 😞
