I bring mine inside lol I have a spare room downstairs with walk out access and cement floor (covered in pine shavings lol) it’s not heated but stays a good 20 to 30 degrees above outside temps. And I can make it warmer easily with a portable heater, but I don’t want it to be too warm and then shock them when they do go back out. I call it the duck hospital room. I spent a few hours yesterday getting it ready to put 19 ducks 3 chickens and 3 geese inside for the coming snow and ice storm . I figure they could survive out in the storm, but I don’t want to have to go out. And if the power goes out and their heated waterbuckets freeze out there… and if their houses are encased in ice… that would really be hard on me. So, no, instead, we will all be in the big house together, and I’ll be sipping my hot cocoa with my fuzzy slippers on lolAnytime it's single digits and below I go out by the girls when I get home from work at 2:00 a.m. and take them some warm grain & pellets moistened with water and some raspberries. I'm not sure if it's doing more harm than good waking them up and having them move around to eat or if it just makes me feel better thinking they'll warm up a little. I go out in the dark with my flashlight so they don't jump down off of the roosts or anything. Could be I'm just another crazy chicken lady
