What's the temperature where you are???

Anytime it's single digits and below I go out by the girls when I get home from work at 2:00 a.m. and take them some warm grain & pellets moistened with water and some raspberries. I'm not sure if it's doing more harm than good waking them up and having them move around to eat or if it just makes me feel better thinking they'll warm up a little. I go out in the dark with my flashlight so they don't jump down off of the roosts or anything. Could be I'm just another crazy chicken lady
I bring mine inside lol I have a spare room downstairs with walk out access and cement floor (covered in pine shavings lol) it’s not heated but stays a good 20 to 30 degrees above outside temps. And I can make it warmer easily with a portable heater, but I don’t want it to be too warm and then shock them when they do go back out. I call it the duck hospital room. I spent a few hours yesterday getting it ready to put 19 ducks 3 chickens and 3 geese inside for the coming snow and ice storm . I figure they could survive out in the storm, but I don’t want to have to go out. And if the power goes out and their heated waterbuckets freeze out there… and if their houses are encased in ice… that would really be hard on me. So, no, instead, we will all be in the big house together, and I’ll be sipping my hot cocoa with my fuzzy slippers on lol

Currently 23 degrees Celsius.
Will peak at around 38 degrees Celsius at 4PM this afternoon.

Having warm weather envy here!

For those of you not familiar with Celcius, 48C is about 100F - that’s good and warm!

I’ll be right down, you have room for horses right???? 😆👍

59°/15C and cloudy with 81% humidity (yay!) at 4:30 A.M. High today of 66°/19C. Chicken delights will be backyard greens and rice.

We got drop or two early this morning but no actual rain and no snow in the mountains. Maybe it'll rain later today.

It is currently -5°F out here while feeling like -24°F with 46% humidity and a -20°F dew point with NW winds at 13mph.

Supposed to be partly cloudy today, very cold with a high of -2°F and NW winds at 10-20mph.

Thankfully I'm off from work now till 1st of February, I always try to take off the week of my birthday(January 31st) though I never do much of anything on it.

We still have the Extreme Cold Warning in effect till 9am tomorrow.
