I killed one of my birds to eat and it had a green growth next to the breast bone !! Does Anyone know what this might be . I have Never seen this , Help Please :/

No It was a White Pullet

lol...that's ok, it was the only thing I could think of where I was picturing it in my head. I haven't had this issue personally, but I also haven't killed off any birds in a LONG time. My father would have this once in a while and he would just remove it and eat the rest of the bird. So far he's still living and relatively healthy....where I haven't had it personally I've never really looked into it myself.

On the MN prairie.
We've had that in our meat birds from time to time. I always thought it was kind of a callous from them just laying around all the time. We just cut it out and eat the rest of the bird.
